Dar Alshifa International Medical Center opened in June 2024 as the first private Sudanese clinic in Kampala, set up to serve the Sudanese refugee community. Our founder, Dr. Ahmed Fares, wanted healthcare to be within reach of every person in the community.
Since then we have grown into a full general medical center with specialist clinics, inpatient beds and a 24-hour service. We have cared for more than 25,000 patients across Uganda, and built a reputation for trust, accessibility and clinical quality.
Every expansion has followed the same founding principle: quality healthcare should be within reach of every individual, whatever their circumstances.
