Speech by Jafar Idi Amin:
Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
It’s an auspicious day today, being with this great team from a multicultural community.
We are here in Kampala, and I feel so blessed that the Sudanese community has come here and is showing us what we call best business practice.
In Uganda, we tend to look at the commercial side of things rather than the empathy and the ability to give healthcare in an affordable manner. I pray that Ahmed’s team will be able to give us that and actually show us the way.
The fact that they have also set up a fifty-bedroom facility in Kirandongo is very inspirational. I would have wished to do the same in, let’s say, fifteen regions across Uganda.
I pray that we will be able to work with Dr. Ahmed in all these spheres and continue to increase the number of specialties. There is a good one involving mobile diagnosis, where somebody can be in the US and still provide a diagnosis to a patient undergoing surgery here in Uganda. These are the types of expertise we expect to see coming to Uganda in a very short time, especially with Ahmed leading the team.
We thank him very much for bringing such facilities among a multicultural and multi-ethnic group in Uganda.
We welcome everybody. Uganda is a very peaceful country now, and the fact that people come, feel comfortable, and are able to set up a professional platform and facility like this is very welcoming and inspirational.
I thank you so much.
My name is Jafar Idi Amin.
Thank you.
